We would like to introduce you to the international terminology concerning types of insurances offered by Europcar. When renting a car in Romania you may purchase CDW and THW insurance, which accordingly stand for damage and third party insurance (excess applicable).

CDW (Collision Damage Waiver)

Damage waiver insurance which covers damages caused by an accident*, where your responsibility is limited to the amount of the excess. See details >

THW (Theft Waiver)

This insurance covers theft risk*, where your responsibility is limited to the amount of the excess. See details >

SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver) and STHW (Super Theft Waiver)

This type of insurancies entirely cancels your damage and theft responsibility*. You can purchase this insurancies while booking or picking up the car. See details >

PAI (Personal Accident Insurance)

A type of a personal insurance, covering injuries caused by car accidents, both for the driver* and the passengers of the rented vehicle. See details >
